By
completing the course, the student will understand the economic principles
behind the growth and development of regions and the possibilities of public
policy to influence these processes. He will be able to perform localization
analysis, analysis of spatial concentration, analysis of the sectoral structure
of regions, analyze the multiplication process and analyze the process of
regional convergence. The graduate will have an overview of basic data sources
for economic analysis of regional economies. Using the acquired knowledge, he
will be able to identify suitable economic tools for solving regional
development problems.
